Phone Home

Telephone-based storytelling installation in public space: Seven people in seven different locations in Krakow (Kazimierz) explain why they associate this particular place with ‘home’. The stories, which can be heard over the telephone, were developed in joint workshops. The project shows personal and diverse perspectives on how migration shapes our identity and perception.

Concept and idea: Ilona Marti
Storytelling: Izabela Gruchała, Kirill Aleksandrov, Jennet Chilgezkuliyeva, Weronika Kozłowska, Agnieszka Marecka, Ieva Matkevičiūtė, Martin Perring, Adam Zduńczyk

The project was created as part of Kumzits (CCPA), a public art programme for the 30th edition of the Jewish Culture Festival in Krakow
